It is no surprise as Marvel Studio blockbuster movie, Avengers: Infinity War passed comfortably the $1 billion mark worldwide in a record-setting 11 days.
Everybody was expecting the Infinity War to blow past the gates of the box office before it’s release and it just did. If Infinity War can’t break that record, I don’t know what movie will! Not only did the movie break the World box office record in it’s opening weekend, it also became the fastest movie to cross the $1 billion mark, a record it beats in just 11 days. The previous movie with the record was the popular Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which took 12 days to hit the billion mark.
Guess what this record was broken with the movie yet to be released in China. Avengers: Infinity War would open in China next week, so you can expect the numbers to rise further when it opens in China. The last Marvel movies to open in China were Captain America: Civil War ($98 million), Black Panther ($66 million) and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($84 million), with this in mind we can expect a near $100 million debut for Infinity War.
Here’s a look at the Top 3 films at the box office last weekend:

Do you think the Infinity War has the power to overtake the highest grossing movie ever? Currently that position is taken by James Cameron‘s Avatar as it holds that record with over 2.7 billion dollars.
